Magweno Art Dolls is a small business in Scotland making bespoke artist dolls on private commission.
"Art dolls" is a pretty broad term, think of these guys as stop-motion animation sculptures but made to your own specifications. You want a creature with a purple birds head, gold lion feet and a scorpion tail? No problem! You have a drawing of a beast you want me to make? Awesome, send it my way! Don't know what you want? Send me an email and we'll chat about your favourite colours, creatures and moods and I'll do some sketches for you. You can pick your favourite and I'll make it.
I specialise mainly in fluffy and feathery four-legged fantasy creatures but have been known to make a human or two, I've also made a few plain old wolves in my time. Have a squizz at my gallery and see what you think.
My art dolls are a perfect size to be pets for BJDs, they could also ride around on your shoulder at a ren fair or convention! They're quite happy sitting on a shelf, but love being toted around and generally loved to death. The only thing you mustn't do is get them wet, or feed them after midnight...
